I love this school! I love that the students are lead to grow academically, spiritually, and in character. The families here are amazing and it's an honor to be able to work with and serve them.
This is where God calls me to be. It is such a joy watching young souls and minds grow into the young adults God has created them to be. It's a joy to see students learn, succeed, and flourish and I love ASL and Jesus. So what better place than CHS to do what I love, teaching who I love, to serve the One I love.
I want to help children grow academically as well as in their faith, character, and understanding of God's love.
Proverbs 22:6—"Train a Child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it."
I love kids (they are a big deal to Jesus) and I love school.
I love educating people, both academically and spiritually. Theology is my first love, but History brings its own unique focus on God’s story through humanity, and I believe both are necessary to self-reflect.
My family and I were missionaries in Kenya for 14 years before coming to Christian Unified Schools. We lived and worked at a school for missionary kids called Rift Valley Academy. I am a parent of three amazing kids:
I have one son who graduated from Christian in 2022, one son class of 2025, and a daughter class of 2029.
It is more my nature to teach Biblical truths with academics. I want to be able to incorporate Biblical truths into every lesson, every interaction, every opportunity with students. I want to be in a position where I can help foster a relationship between the Lord and my students and teach in an environment that encompasses the whole child. At Christian, students are known. They are not just occupying a seat, they are recognized, prayed for and cared for.
Christian Unified Schools is a place where Christ is preeminent. I wanted to work alongside a community that supported my love for teaching English and my passion for ministering to the hearts of students in order to build the kingdom of God.
I choose to work at Christian Unified because I believe that Christian education is a transformative journey that integrates faith, knowledge, and character development.
It is my passion to develop and encourage students. God led us to Christian Unified several years ago. I love to inspire students with God's word through the art of cooking, baking, sewing, child development and interior design.
I choose to work for Christian Unified because I love to serve our community and to pour the Word and love of Jesus into the hearts and minds of the little ones.
I teach because the Lord has called me to use my story and testimony to reach and hopefully inspire our youth to be a light in a world of darkness.
