APPLICATION PROCESS

WELCOME TO CHRISTIAN UNIFIED!

Thank you for your interest in Christian Unified Schools.
We are very thankful for the opportunity to partner with you in your child’s education.

Just a few simple steps will get you on your way to enrolling your child at Christian:

steps to apply

1 — ONLINE APPLICATION

Families interested in enrolling their child for the current 2023-2024 school year, please call admissions at 619.201.8888.

Click here to complete our online admissions application for the 2024-2025 school year, and submit the $100 application fee.

NOTE: We are currently experiencing an influx of applications and nearing capacity in many of our grades for the upcoming school year. Upon submission of your enrollment application, our Admissions Department will contact you regarding space/campus availability. If space is available in the requested grade, your student will be invited to begin the admissions process, including assessment and interview. If space is not available and does not become available by the start of the 24/25 school year, assessments and interviews will not occur, and your $100.00 application will be refunded in full. If you have any questions at all, we encourage you to contact our Admissions Department.

2 — SUBMIT DOCUMENTS

  • Your child’s Birth Certificate, Immunization Record, Most Recent Report Card, and Transcript (grades 9-12 only) are required to be submitted prior to the interview.
  • Documents may be uploaded and submitted online with the application or brought to the school office.
  • Please note that the California Immunization Requirements have changed in recent years. To ensure your child’s immunizations are up to date please Click Here. Up to date immunizations will not delay the application or interview process, but students WILL NOT be permitted to start school without the required immunizations.

3 — APPLICATION REVIEW

Once the above items have been received, the student’s file is complete and will be ready for review. However, applicants will be contacted subject to space availability.

4 — PLACEMENT TESTING & STUDENT/PARENT INTERVIEW WITH PRINCIPAL

Christian Unified Schools routinely conducts a placement test for incoming students to determine academic readiness, placement in advanced courses, and/or to help assess if the student performs lower or higher than their grade level for monitoring future progress. Elementary students will have their placement test and interview at the same time. For junior high and high school, the placement test takes approximately one hour and will be scheduled prior to administrator interview.

5 — WELCOME, PATRIOTS!

Once the admissions decision is finalized, new families will receive an email of acceptance that includes instructions to complete the enrollment process and pay the $350 registration fee online (max $750/family). Completion of the online enrollment within 7 days of the email confirms your child’s place in the class.

Once enrollment is complete, a follow up email will also provide important details about the upcoming school year, including orientation dates and the first day of school. Families will also receive a summer mailer with more details by mid-July! In the meantime, follow the happenings on our website and come see a basketball game or take in the Spring musical and look forward to engaging in activities that will help you connect and become a part of our Christian Unified family!

COME VISIT

SCHEDULE A TOUR

We believe a visit to our campus during the school day is one of the best ways to observe our environment and determine if Christian Unified is the right fit for your family.

We also offer tours on various days throughout the summer. If you are excited about the possibility of enrolling your child and the Lord is calling you to apply at Christian Unified, please sign up for a tour!

SHADOW DAYS

During scheduled Shadow Days, prospective students spend three class periods, chapel, and lunch with a current junior or senior high school student. Shadow Days are scheduled when school is in session only (roughly October–May).

ADMISSIONS EVENTS

Choose from two great ways to learn more about our schools:

CAMPUS TOURS are scheduled throughout the school year and summer. Observe our environment and determine if Christian Unified is the right fit for your family.

At the junior and senior high school level, SHADOW DAYS are available throughout the school year. We recommend a Shadow Day for students going into 7th–12th grade.

IN MEMORY OF OUR FOUNDER

It is with sadness that we share that the co-founder of our school district, Dr. Beverly LaHaye, passed away on Sunday, April 14. She was 94 years old.

Beverly was a faithful follower of Jesus Christ all the days of her life, and God used her in extraordinary ways to make a difference in the world around her. Along with her husband Dr. Tim LaHaye, she worked to establish Christian Unified Schools at a time when Christian education was in its infancy. She had a vision to meet the need for God-honoring curriculum and teachers who modeled Christlikeness to the students in their care, and she worked tirelessly to that end.

In addition to her influence on our school district, Beverly was also the author of many books, the founder of Concerned Women for America, and a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a faithful and treasured member of Shadow Mountain Community Church, where she was honored recently during the GirlTime women’s event. As the audience stood to applaud, Beverly pointed upward, giving all of the glory to the God she served.
