Winter Concert | Christmas Program 2024

This past week, our CJHS and CHS band and choir students brought the joy of the Christmas season to life with two incredible performances. Through their talent and dedication, they filled the air with festive melodies, reminding us of the beauty and meaning of this special time of year. The students’ hard work was evident in every note played and every song sung. From classic carols to uplifting holiday pieces, their music transported us into the Christmas spirit, stirring our hearts with joy and gratitude. More than just a performance, it was a celebration of the gifts God has given them and a beautiful reminder of why we rejoice in this season.

Honoring Our Heroes: 2024 Veterans Day Chapel

Our 2024 Veterans Day Chapel was a meaningful time of reflection and gratitude as we honored the men and women who have served our country.
Jeremy Stalnecker, co-founder of the Mighty Oaks Foundation and a U.S. Marine Corps Combat Iraq veteran, delivered a powerful message on resilience. He shared how true resilience requires character, which is built through the wisdom and guidance of godly people who help us grow and prepare for the hardships of life.
The Christian High School choir and band filled the Event Center with patriotic selections, setting the tone for a heartfelt tribute. One of the most touching moments of the morning was when our TK students presented the veterans in attendance with handmade thank-you cards, a small but meaningful gesture of appreciation.
It was a privilege to recognize and celebrate our veterans, thanking them for their service and sacrifice. May we continue to honor their legacy by living lives of faith, character, and resilience.

IN MEMORY OF OUR FOUNDER

It is with sadness that we share that the co-founder of our school district, Dr. Beverly LaHaye, passed away on Sunday, April 14. She was 94 years old.

Beverly was a faithful follower of Jesus Christ all the days of her life, and God used her in extraordinary ways to make a difference in the world around her. Along with her husband Dr. Tim LaHaye, she worked to establish Christian Unified Schools at a time when Christian education was in its infancy. She had a vision to meet the need for God-honoring curriculum and teachers who modeled Christlikeness to the students in their care, and she worked tirelessly to that end.

In addition to her influence on our school district, Beverly was also the author of many books, the founder of Concerned Women for America, and a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a faithful and treasured member of Shadow Mountain Community Church, where she was honored recently during the GirlTime women’s event. As the audience stood to applaud, Beverly pointed upward, giving all of the glory to the God she served.
