On Thursday, November 9th, students were invited to step into Neverland for Winter Banquet. The Ryan Athletic center was transformed! Here, students were treated to Italian food such as pasta and ravioli. And outside mini golf, cornhole, and archery were made available to play on the soccer field. Students also got to take pictures with their friends at a photobooth and a food truck where people enjoyed snacks.
Government teacher Mr. Circo, who has been attending every Winter Banquet in the past few years, said he thinks Winter Banquet definitely “lives up to expectations. I think the outdoor games were brilliant. I saw a lot of students enjoying them. The ice cream truck, I think, was the most popular thing at the event.”
When talking to Junior Owen Halvarson, he expressed his enjoyment for the foods and how decorations were “well put together.” His favorite part was being able to drive the Ferrari Spider he rented for this special evening. To end the night, Junior Jack Swanson performed the song “You Got a Friend In Me” from the animated film, Toy Story. He received thunderous applause and was seen as a highlight by all in attendance.
Overall, Winter Banquet was a tremendous success with much fun to be had, garnering more attendance than the previous year.
