Why do you work for Christian Unified?
I choose to work for Christian Unified because the Lord called me to follow His will for my life and teach theatre through a godly “lens” that brings glory to Him every day – through every class and every performance.
Interesting facts:
I was born just outside of Dallas, Texas, and grew up in Fort Worth and Austin. I guess you can’t get more Texan than that! I am a Southern Baptist minister’s daughter, who grew up with a literal stage in my bedroom. I have always loved live theatre–especially musical theatre. So, I attended Baylor University where I received a BFA in Theatre Performance with an emphasis in Musical Theatre. During that same time, I also began following my passion and calling to lead worship. I have performed in Baylor productions and Austin-area community theatre and have led worship in many places–from my home church to Billy Graham’s The Cove in North Carolina to coffee shops in England and all the way to the streets of Indonesia.
In November of 2021, I married Zac Codding (from Austin), a CICU nurse and officer in the U.S. Navy who is stationed in San Diego. We don’t have any pets or children quite yet, but we do have a super cool view of Petco Park Stadium and the ships coming in and out of the bay! We love to explore, try new restaurants, travel, camp, see tons of live theatre, go to concerts, and soak in as much sun as we can! We are members of Shadow Mountain Community Church where I sing in the choir and on the Praise Team. I am thrilled to join the Christian Unified family!
