Dear Christian Unified Families,
We made it through our first week of in-person learning for the Junior High/High School and the second week for our elementary schools. Thank you all for the opportunity that you give us as a school to educate and influence your student in the name of Jesus. I want to thank each of you for the commitment that you have made to help us keep our campuses “healthy” this school year. We have taken great physical measures, reviewed and adopted health guidelines, and are remaining in close contact with the County health authorities to stay current in our practice as we navigate through this pandemic.
It is exciting to see in San Diego County that our “numbers” seem to be on the decline. That is great news! It is allowing us to reopen and resume some sense of normalcy. With that said, I want to put out a reminder for each of us to remain diligent in our awareness of COVID-19 symptoms, and that if you experience symptoms to be proactive in following health guidelines. The County offers the following education regarding COVID-19:
“Because of how COVID -19 spreads, public health officials have indicated that all of us should consider ourselves as being potentially exposed. As you know, virus symptom can range from mild to severe and could include fever, cough, shortness of breath, chills without a fever, sore throat, muscle aches and pains, and temporary loss of smell or taste. Symptoms may appear in a few as two days or as long as 14 days after exposure. Anyone experiencing symptoms should self-isolate and contact your doctor. If you are not feeling well, it is recommended that you separate from others in the home, wear a face mask, cover your coughs and sneezes, clean hands and surfaces often, and avoid sharing personal items. It is important to monitor symptoms for potential worsening.”
Please know that I am working closely with the San Diego County Office of Education to offer our campuses the most current data available. Thank you for partnering with me, and school leadership in our strong effort to remain healthy, safe and informed.
Purposed For Him, Partnered With You,
