Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it. Proverbs 22:6
At Christian Unified Schools, we endeavor to instill in each of our students the importance of a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. The spiritual development of our young people goes far beyond weekly chapel services and Bible classes.
From positive staff role models to practical lessons directly from the Word of God, our goal is that every student learn to actively pursue God's Will for his or her life.
Our students come from dozens of Christian churches all over San Diego County, representing many different denominations. Christian High School Bible teachers teach the truth of God's Word, which is the school's source of authority. The goal is for these students to own their own faith and, in effect, to stop borrowing the faith of their parents
Chapel
All students go to chapel once a week. Chapel speakers range from local youth ministers to special speakers. At the Jr. and Sr. High level, outstanding speakers are brought in for the annual "Spiritual Emphasis Week," during which students attend chapel each day.
Patriot Praise
The CHS chapel worship is led by Patriot Praise, a worship team made up of talented student vocalists and instrumentalists. During special chapels, Patriot Praise leads worship in the Shadow Mountain Community Church Worship Center.
Service
From Kindergarten to seniors in High School, our students are encouraged to be involved in service to their school, church, community and to the world. Opportunities to minister include student council and outreach programs at the elementary level; ASB in Jr/Sr High; sposored school mission trips; etc. Students are challenged by chapel speakers and encouraged to participate in their own home church short term missions opportunitites.

At the Jr and Sr High level, community service is encouraged, and for Freshmen and Sophomores, required. Current Freshmen are required to perform 10 hours of community service during the school year and Sophomores are required to perform 15 hours. Forms, a list of approved sites, and a calendar of events are found on the website under the community service tab in the High School menu. Mr. Scott Meadows currently oversees the Patriot Servants program.
