Health (Required elective for graduation)
Health Education is a rigorous, semester-long elective. This course meets the National Health Education Standards for high school graduation. Students will examine health-related topics focusing on exercise, nutrition, mental & emotional health, relationships, hygiene, body systems, growth & development, drugs, diseases & disorders, injury prevention, and environmental health. Students will explore practical applications, decision-making skills, scientific reasoning, and biblical truths in these subject areas through multiple learning modalities, which include note-taking, hands-on activities, labs, and related projects.
