Course Description:
The coral reefs at Virtual Key appear to be dying. The water is no longer clear. Even the beautiful beaches are disappearing. Fortunately the CORAL underwater research facility has scientists who are looking for the causes. They would like you to join them as the newest member of their elite aquanaut team.
Aquanauts are scientists who don’t mind getting wet. As a member of the team, you’ll gather and analyze data. You’ll propose solutions that can be used to correct the problem. In the process, you’ll learn about the differences between plants and animals, and the factors that that stress coral. You’ll also study erosion, weathering, and the impact humans have on the reefs.
We need scientists like you who can discover real answers to real problems. This course will give you the knowledge and problem-solving skills you need to make a real difference. There are a set of swim fins and a snorkel waiting for you.
